Cats On Earth is the pet project of Chris Oldaker (Largo), a decade+ long experiment in beat fuckery, sound clashing and storytelling. With several albums, EPs and remixes under his belt, CoE's sound has evolved over the years from moody, twisted beat music to traditional IDM to an evolution of so-called drill n' bass/breakcore that favors intricate beatwork combined with progressive song structure to create tunes that pulse with vivid imagery and atmosphere.
Though relatively quiet since the release of his "La Fin Triste" album on binkcrsh back in 2005, CoE is back in the studio working on a follow up expected sometime in 2011 (but of course, you'll hear new tracks long before that if you stay tuned to this blog).

Yay, I thought you'd retired the Cats so it's nice to know there's a next on in the works!
i planned on retiring it (which is why the title to my last album was 'la fin triste' - the sad ending), but i dunno...couldn't stay away. still experimenting trying to find that "new" sound, so we'll see how it goes. ;)
