When we put out the "Broken Pieces" comp last month, one of the most common questions we got in response was "who is this Rock Hyrax guy and where can i get more of his shit?" Well, folks...ask and ye shall receive! It's a few weeks later than usual, but here we have this awesome 7-track EP from New York's Nate Dorr a.k.a. Mercurial a.k.a. Rock Hyrax called "Dissolute Lichens". This record blends complex micro-glitch beat work with a tapestry of samples, field recordings and wandering melodies into a unique sound that reveals more layers with every listen.
