I can't get enough of this remix of Sissy Nobby's "Lay Me Down". Meant to post this up a long while ago, but it kinda got lost in the fray. Thankfully, it inevitably found its way back because it's just that sweet! 8 minutes of pure bliss.

For those of you who have actually heard the music of Sissy Nobby, this remix may inspire confused looks as it doesn't feature any of the flamboyant bounce music phenomenon's trademark ramblings whatsoever, but that's probably for the best because this remix by London-based L-Vis 1990 is an absolutely beautiful tune layered with all kinds of loveliness and the accompanying video makes me feel like it's the mid-late 90s again and I'm watching MTV's Amp at 2am.

L-Vis 1990's style blends elements of classic rave, electro and deep house with ragga, dancehall and grime to create a unique hybrid that he's dubbed "hyperbass". The jury is still out on hyperbass as a genre or even as a remotely relevant description of what the music sounds like, but what's not really up for debate is the quality of this dude's tracks - especially his remix work. Here's another winner:
