Glassmaker by Ochre

Really cool new track (in progress) from Ochre called "Glassmaker". A bit of a departure from his typical sound, this track is a little more...housey...kinda? Obviously it's still an Ochre track, lots of glossy synths, pristine production and arpeggios aplenty, but style-wise it's some new territory and I must say I'm digging it.

We posted a few tracks from Ochre's album "Lemodie" a few weeks back and if you happened to ignore it for whatever silly reason, well then you're in luck because now you can stream the whole thing.  If you dig it as much as I do, then you're also in luck because the previously out-of-print CD has now been re-released by the artist himself and is currently on sale via his website.

I remember the first time I heard Ochre was way back on the Electronic Scene forums in maybe 2001, 2002?  He posted his track "Low Grav Freefall (High Altitude Mix)" and I was floored by the crisp, cold synth lead, the surgical beat work and the perfectly fitted IDM flourishes.  The track went on to have one of the longest lifespans of any independent productions I've ever seen, being released on his debut album for Benbecula literally YEARS later and still sounding as slick as it did on first listen.  I mean, can you imagine that?  The first track you put up as a n00b on the message board ends up being the lead single off your highly touted label debut 3-4 years later?  That shit never happens.

Anyway, back to the point...Ochre just re-released his second record on Benbecula, "Lemodie" in digital format through his website for super cheap, so pick up up!  It's a classic.  Check a few from it:
